about

CALOR Film Fest is Dublin’s annual Latin American film festival, launching in 2026.
We celebrate the warmth, depth, and diversity of Latin American cinema, bringing powerful stories to Irish screens and building a space for connection, creativity, and cultural exchange.
Our goal is to showcase the region’s talent, amplify underrepresented voices, and foster community across borders – from Latin America to Ireland and beyond.

We believe films can build bridges, start conversations, and spark new ways of seeing each other.

The heat of our region. The warmth of our people. The fire of our stories.

Community-led

created by passionate individuals, not by a large institution
or organisation.

Independent

driven by cultural purpose, creativity, and collaboration, not
commercial interests.

From the ground up

built with care, collective effort, and the support of a dedicated volunteer team.

This is what gives CALOR its heart.

team

We are a collective of Latin American migrants living in Dublin who share a passion for cinema, culture, and community. With roots across the region and experience in the arts, we created CALOR Film Fest as a space where we can see ourselves on screen, while also inviting Irish, local and international audiences to discover new films, different stories, and original new cultural experiences.

Through screenings and events, we aim to create moments where people can meet, laugh, reflect, and celebrate together.

We are also proud to collaborate with programme advisors, designers, photographers, communication experts, and a passionate team of volunteers.
